Strategic Advisory & Implementation

We start the design and development process by asking you, as the client, what you would like your website to achieve for you? We want to understand your current business structure to establish the best functionality for your site, understand your current pain points and dive into your hopes and aspirations for the site. The next step would be to make informed strategic suggestions on the website’s navigation structure through URL mapping, the look & feel illustrated in a style scape, a meaningful layout and purposeful functionality or a relevant user experience.

Our websites are developed to be 100% fully mobile responsive giving your visitors a great experience when browsing on their mobile. Approximately half of web traffic worldwide is through mobile devices.

Domains & Hosting

We would love to assist you in making the correct choice when considering a domain or hosting package. We know that one size does not fit all so it's best to customise it to your unique requirements. Should you wish to purchase a domain or hosting package with Postt, we are able to do this through our local partner - domains.co.za. If you are hosting with any other service provider we are most definitely able to assist with domains and hosting related queries as well.

Premium Plugins & SEO Optimisation

Your website is developed using Elementor Pro & Crocoblock which makes it 100% customisable. We do NOT develop using an existing theme because theme licences need to be renewed annually and too often these become outdated because the theme developers stop creating newer versions - making your site impossible to update and in turn creating security vulnerabilities.

We use Gravity Forms or WPMU DEV's Formintor Pro plugins with conditional logic - for those important leads. These forms also include a Google reCAPTCHA (a completely automated public turing test to tell computers and humans apart) that helps protect your enquiry forms from spam. We can even link your forms to services such as ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Slack, Trello, Zapier and Zoho to mention a few. If you need additional engagement, we can create interactive polls or quizzes! We strategise the content with you to give you the best results possible.

Our philosophy is: your site is only as good as its last backup. We create backups of our developments either hourly, daily or weekly using ServMask Inc's All-in-One WP Migration plugin. The backup frequency depends on the project requirement. These backups are stored in a secure Google Drive to make sure we are able to access it remotely from anywhere.

No matter how many images you have on your site they need to be optimised so it doesn't affect your site speed. We use WPMU DEV's Smush Pro to automatically resizes and scales images without compromising the quality.

Worried about site security? We've got your assets covered! We use WPMU DEV's Defender Pro to arm your WordPress website with the latest security shields and cloaking technology which includes; security scans, two-factor authentication, login protection and masking, blocklist monitoring and vulnerability reports.

We know that SEO is vital for your online business so we deploy WPMU DEV's SmartCrawl Pro to start the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) process right from the onset. We do recommend your website copy includes the keywords and keyphrases related to your products and services in conversational paragraphs to enable the integration tool to perform at its best. An internal linking structure is a must have for an enriched user experience / engagement. What about searchability of search engines like Google, Microsoft Bing, and Yahoo to mention a few? We create optimised sitemaps for your site, if search engines can’t find you, who will? This sitemap is submitted through Google Search Console to ensure visitors can find you organically.

Please note: Developing your website with Postt gives you access to all our premium plugins for a period of 24 months. However, should you hand over the back end details to another development team or you start making backend and frontend edits yourself, the usage of our premium plugins becomes null and void, calling on you or a new development team to assist with premium plugin licences. We do recommend that your website be maintained either monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly through a maintenance contract to ensure your online reception and office is kept squeaky clean and should we need assistance from our premium suppliers you have full access to this as well.

Premium Licensed Content

Postt has a premium account with Envato Elements to make sure that any imagery/vectors we source has the correct usage permissions for the project. If you wish to source content on Envato Elements, you are more than welcome to share the content links with us to use for your project. Unfortunately we can't share the details to the account.

Analytics & Data Compliancy

We create a Google Analytics account as part of our development strategy so we know where visitors come from and where they go as soon as they are on the site. You'll have full admin access to the account with your G Suite email address. The set up of the account does not include reporting or creation of goals - that falls under monthly website maintenance.

We like to keep keep insight scripts as neat as possible so we create a Google Tag Manager account for your business to house scripts for: Google Analytics, Google Remarketing, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Youtube, Tiktok, Cookiebot and more.

Your website will be proudly POPIA / GDPR compliant as we include the FREE version of CookieBot which covers up to 100 pages, thereafter we will need the premium version. A 100 page website may not seem like a lot, but trust us, it can get there really quickly as it counts not only pages but also categories and tags. Should your site exceed 100 pages, a premium package will be advised.

What's Excluded?

Our website development offering excludes the following:

Copywriting

We prefer not to write your website content for you as no we'll never know your service offering and product/s as well as you. We are however ready to advise and assist with copy tweaks that will benefit your organic ranking through SEO efforts. Should you require a copywriter we have a couple of valued connections that specialise in this.

Email Hosting

Email hosting and set up. For email hosting we recommend you host these separately with either Google Workspace - G Suite or Microsoft 365 Email.

Legal Documentation

Depending on the nature of your business / service you may require a more in-depth Privacy Policy and Terms and Condition notice. We do offer advice on the general requirements and should you need something more specific we'll guide you on this process as well.

Development Process

1. An introduction meeting will be the first step to starting your website development journey. In this meeting we will discuss your unique requirements.

2. Postt will then put a cost estimate together based on the scope of work discussed. This will also be accompanied with timelines. Providing deadlines for your website development project/s is imperative. Delays will also be communicated with you, as the client - and be prepared for some :).

3. The quote then needs to be formally approved before any work can commence. This cost estimate is valid for 14 days.

4. We will then supply a beautiful document outlining your website navigation structure and a style scape (if necessary) to determine the look and feel of your website.

5. We require you to sign off the navigation structure and style scape - after some tweaks have been made of course, we want you to be totally satisfied.

6. The deposit is then payable and your team supplies us with all the copy for the website.

7. The copy will then get placed into the approved navigation structure document which is a live Google doc and we will provide you access to this document.

8. The homepage then gets developed based on the approved style scape and provided copy, for your approval.

9. Thereafter the rest of the site will be developed.

10. Once you are happy with the site and all testing has been completed, the remaining 30% is payable to make your site LIVE!
